This course is designed primarily for students wanting to create advanced, highly customized, SCADA/HMI systems using iFIX. The course is intended to provide a base level of proficiency in the use of some of the product’s more advanced features. The open-architecture characteristics of the product (included in topics like OPC, ODBC, OLE Automation and ActiveX) are explored. This will allow the student to take these features into consideration when designing, implementing, and troubleshooting advanced iFIX systems. NOTE: While it is perfectly acceptable to attend iFIX Advanced training prior to attending the iFIX Fundamentals course. It is not recommended that new users skip the fundamentals course. The iFIX components used most by developers ARE NOT covered in the advanced course.
